Trader Joe’s Weekly Meal Plan for $50 in NYC


People say it’s hard to stay healthy
and eat good food and take care of your body and without spending too much money
so I live in New York City I want to show you that it’s possible to spend
fifty dollars a week on food still enjoy your food make delicious meals and stay
lean stay healthy and don’t break your budget don’t bust your wallet so I went
to one of my favorite places to shop at Trader Joe’s and I got all this stuff
for $50 there’s more right here so I got a lot of chicken probably six
seven pounds chicken thighs chicken breasts got two thousands of eggs got
mixed vegetables two pounds I got two pounds of green beans some fresh
tomatoes I’ve got baked beans and black beans I’m gonna mix them together to
reduce some sugar and I got some brown rice for carbs
it’s a lot of rice so I’m gonna probably have too much food but I’m gonna have
leftovers and I’ll let you know at the end I also got some fruit I got bananas
six bananas I’ve got two pounds of strawberries
for my dessert and peanuts a pound so there are some things that could be
changed you can have bread, peanut butter but I decided not to go with that I just
like it this way so I’m gonna eat three meals during the day
and one snack so for breakfast I’m gonna have fried eggs baked beans and
strawberries with tomatoes, the second meal I’ll have
chicken thighs with fried rice and green beans and for the third meal
I’ll have grilled chicken with more green beans and I have this snacks
throughout the day so I’m gonna fast-forward and cook everything and
I’ll come back to you and show you what I’ve come up with and before I live
here’s the receipt it’s only $52 but I got way too much food
for one person so I’m excited to show you what I’ve come up with the vegetables are ready brown rice is
done and I’m gonna crack a few eggs and add it to the brown rice while it’s still hot so I
can mix them up and the eggs will be cooked immediately so this is my breakfast that I’m gonna
have six days a week got everything here got your fat and protein got your carbs
slow carbs and protein got some vegetables and I also got this
everything seasoning so I cooked all of it so I got six meals six full meals
that’s gonna last me three days and I got my breakfast I’m gonna cook it to
order because I like it fresh but everything else is cooked and ready to
go I’m gonna put in the fridge then take it out put it in microwave done I’m not
gonna spend any time on cooking or cleaning and the good thing that they
still have tons of rice cooked it’s ready to go that’s gonna last me for the
rest of the week I can freeze this part and the same thing with beans got this
beans ready and I still have uncooked chicken two and a half pounds that I’m
gonna cook in four days just because I like it fresh when I eat my food and I
still have my beans for breakfast and two pounds of strawberries for a
snack and bananas for snacks oh yeah and peanuts a pound of
peanuts so this is it this is a $50 spending at Trader Joe’s
